The intestinal mucosa covers a total surface area of about 180 m², making it one of the largest tissues in our body. An intact intestinal mucosa performs a wide range of functions in the body. These include protection against harmful substances, as well as the breakdown (digestion) and intake (absorption) of nutrients, for which it produces enzymes on a large scale. Embedded in the mucosa are numerous immune cells, which not only defend our body against dangerous germs but also control and maintain the intestinal microbiome. Accordingly, maintaining healthy and functioning mucous membranes is of great importance.

While biotin, contained in the product Flora Immun*, contributes to the maintenance of healthy mucous membranes² , vitamin B12, which is present here in bioactive form, supports healthy immune system function.¹ The product is complemented with substances obtained 100% from natural raw material sources, such as phosphatidylserine from soy lecithin, glutamine from maize, psyllium husk and fructo-oligosaccharides from chicory root.
