After the successful cooperation between the German Hockey Association (DHB) and the Munich expert for micronutrients, and MITOcare GmbH & Co. KG, at the U21 Hockey World Championship 2021 in India, both sides now want to expand their cooperation. MITOcare® is now supporting the German women's and men's national team in preparation for the big goal, the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.

"As top Olympic athletes, we are always on the lookout to raise our performance potential down to the last detail. In a few first "walking attempts" with our male U21 national team, MITOcare® turned out to be a success factor," says DHB sports director Dr. Christoph Menke-Salz and adds: "Due to the constant high stress in training and competition, our athletes have a very high need for micronutrients. In order to ensure this, regular, sometimes joint laboratory checks of the metabolic parameters, but also the evaluation of injury numbers, training loads and other increased abnormalities should help to achieve a more stable training and competition load. That's why the team doctors are in close contact with the doctors and experts from MITOCare® on diagnoses and therapeutic options in order to get the best out of the partnership - but above all out of the athletes.
