Understanding epigenetics. Shaping prevention. Applying science.

Become a Certified Prevention & Epigenetics Therapist

Become an expert in personalized prevention and develop tailored strategies for health, performance, and managing chronic conditions.

June 20 to September 20, 2026
Online Training including Completion Certificate

Why Prevention & Epigenetics are the Key to the Future of Health

The Why Behind the Training

In a time of increasing chronic diseases, it becomes clear: Standardized recommendations are often insufficient. Health is not created by general knowledge, but by individual strategies that start at the cellular level.

This training provides an understanding of central metabolic & regulatory processes as well as the effects of epigenetic factors such as nutrition, exercise, or stress management on gene activity. It thus becomes visible how lifestyle decisions shape long-term health & disease risks.

The goal is to design prevention holistically, personally & sustainably – based on genetic predispositions, epigenetic mechanisms & individual life circumstances.

Become a Certified Therapist for Prevention & Epigenetics in Practice & empower people to rethink health and implement it sustainably.

Highlights of this training

How you benefit from the training

Innovative & Future-Oriented Training

We integrate the latest findings in genetics and epigenetics, which you can apply practically in your naturopathic practice – for a modern "Therapy 2.0" beyond standard approaches.

Extended diagnostics & individual therapy

You will learn to better understand diagnostics and to analyze even complex patient cases thoroughly. Personalized therapy and prevention plans are developed based on genetic and epigenetic data.

Practical Relevance & New Business Areas

With practical case studies, you can expand your therapy offerings to include epigenetic care and preventative services. This will open up new business opportunities.

Strong network & community events

Module Overview

Overall, the training consists of five modules, ranging from basics to case studies.

💡 Module 1: 20.06.2026

Introduction to Prevention and Epigenetics: Concepts, Relevance & Fields of Application

This module provides practical knowledge on prevention with a focus on establishing & integrating a prevention practice. It covers longevity, healthy aging & supplementation strategies, supplemented by legal foundations such as the Genetic Diagnostics Act, data protection & consent. Additionally, genetic principles and modern methods for detecting SNPs & mutations are presented – as a basis for applying genetic insights in prevention.

🍏 Module 2

Nutritional Science Fundamentals & Genetic Aspects of Nutrient Metabolism

The module provides basic knowledge of macro- and micronutrients and their role in prevention & metabolism. Genetic aspects, including those of vitamins D, C, iron and B12, as well as variants such as FUT2 and MTHFR, are explored in depth. In addition, the genetics of food intolerances are discussed in the context of personalized nutrition.

🔬 Module 3

Science Meets Practice: Fundamentals of Prevention and Epigenetics

The module teaches the basics of epigenetic mechanisms and their role in prevention. It covers genetic risk factors for lifestyle diseases as well as epigenetic influences on inflammation, aging, and Alzheimer's. A focus is placed on stress as a significant environmental factor.

🧬 Module 4

Preventive Medicine in the Context of Genetics, Diagnostics, and Behavior

The module covers genetic factors influencing metabolism and behavior, including obesity and variants in alcohol and caffeine metabolism. It addresses detox genetics, laboratory diagnostic methods for risk profile determination, and practical communication tools for the successful implementation of preventive recommendations.

🔍 Module 5: 02 & 04.09.2026

Integration and Case Studies

In the final module, the acquired knowledge is applied in a practical way. Using case studies, genetic, epigenetic, diagnostic & therapeutic aspects are analysed to link theory and practice and to gain confidence in dealing with individual prevention concepts.

✍🏼 Final examination: 14.-20.09.2026

Can be completed online via multiple-choice at your own pace

The final exam is an online multiple-choice test and can be taken digitally at your convenience from September 14–20. You will receive the result immediately after completion. Upon successful completion, each participant will receive a certificate of completion from the MITOcare Academy and one from the BDH with 29 continuing education credits, sent by mail.
