Prof. Dr. med. habil. Dr. phil. Jörg Kriegsmann established a large institute for pathology and molecular genetic diagnostics in Trier and then discovered his passion for genetics. His goal is to help people assess their risk for various diseases and extend their healthy lifespan through behavioral changes. He introduced mass spectrometry into diagnostics and now uses it for genetic testing.
