Unlock your genetic blueprint & finally train effectively!

The MyFitnessGenes® saliva test analyzes key athletic factors such as strength and endurance predisposition, muscle building, regeneration and susceptibility to injury, as well as the appropriate nutrition for athletes, for personalized, effective training.

Personalized training begins with your genetic blueprint.

General training and nutrition tips don't work the same for everyone. Your genes influence how you react to stress, use energy, and absorb nutrients. A genetic test provides you with an objective basis for this – so you don't follow trends, but rather tailor your lifestyle specifically and effectively to your genetic blueprint.

Simple saliva test for home use

You can conveniently perform the MITOcare MyFitnessGenes® saliva test at home. Your data is processed securely, confidentially, and in accordance with the German Genetic Diagnostics Act and the GDPR. You will receive the results in a clearly structured, visually presented report. Based on this, you can independently or together with a fitness trainer or personal coach tailor your training and nutrition approach specifically to your genetic profile – for effective, individualized training according to your personal blueprint.

What is the focus of MyFitnessGenes®?

6 | 📬 Your results will be sent to you by post

You will receive your MyFitnessGenes® results by mail in the form of printed documents. The analysis is clearly presented using bar charts and supplemented with easy-to-understand explanations. This allows you to see at a glance how your genetic predisposition is with regard to strength, endurance, recovery, injury susceptibility, and nutrient utilization – and which factors are particularly relevant for your training.

7 | 🏋️ Start your personalized training

Based on your results, you can tailor your training specifically to your genetic makeup. You'll recognize which training methods suit your predisposition, where your potential lies, and which recovery strategies are most effective.

To get the most out of your analysis, it is recommended that you implement the results independently in a structured way or integrate them into an individually tailored training and nutrition plan together with a fitness trainer or personal coach – for effective training according to your personal blueprint.

This is how your genes are decoded.

The analysis of MITOcare Diagnostics test kits is performed using a polygenic calculation model – this means that all individual contributions of each genetic variant in conjunction with the environment are taken into account (polygenic effect). The complex algorithm creates an evaluation model based on a multitude of variables, i.e., genetic characteristics. The result of the evaluation model is more important than the number of genes that might be flagged as altered. No genetic variant should be interpreted in isolation – except for vitamins (since multiple genes contribute to multiple vitamins).

The results are presented in an easily understandable and graphical format as a bar chart – making interpretation particularly easy.

Disclaimer

Athletic performance is a concept used by professional and amateur athletes that determines the ability to achieve maximum athletic potential. Information about genetic predisposition should be combined with information about physical characteristics (e.g., age, gender, muscle mass index, VO2 max) and behavior (e.g., eating habits, physical activity) to develop the best individual training plan.

There is no evidence that genetic data can be used to identify athletic talent. Scientific studies provide insight into the type of training that best achieves specific goals. Our diagnostics utilize the latest information and incorporate the latest research findings when interpreting genetic data. However, much is still unknown about genetic profiles and athletic talent.

The results of this genetic test are not dependent on the physical or clinical condition or treatment management of the individual being tested. The information provided does not confirm or replace any medical diagnosis or condition and cannot be used to prevent disease or diagnose any clinical condition. If you have any questions about the information contained in this report or concerns regarding your personal health or medical condition, we encourage you to consult a qualified healthcare professional.
