Unlock your genetic blueprint and optimize your micronutrient needs.

The MyWellnessGenes® saliva test analyzes key genetic factors related to the utilization of vitamins, minerals & antioxidants as well as your individual micronutrient needs – for a personalized, targeted nutrient strategy based on your genetic blueprint.

Personalized micronutrient strategy begins with your genetic blueprint.

Many people supplement for years – and still wonder why certain imbalances simply won't go away. Random recommendations fall short because every body absorbs and processes micronutrients differently. A blood test shows you the current status of your stores, but not the underlying cause. This is precisely where genetic analysis provides the missing answer: It reveals how your individual metabolism functions based on your DNA blueprint. This allows you to finally select and dose your micronutrients in a targeted and personalized way – instead of continuing to supplement blindly.

Simple saliva test for home use

You can conveniently perform the MITOcare MyWellnessGenes® saliva test at home. Your data is processed securely and confidentially in accordance with the German Genetic Diagnostics Act and the GDPR. You will receive the results in a clearly structured, visually presented report. Based on this, you can independently or together with a healthcare professional tailor your micronutrient strategy to your specific genetic profile – for needs-based, individualized supplementation according to your personal blueprint.

6 | 📬 Your results will be sent to you by post

You will receive a folder containing the results of your MyWellnessGenes® genetic test. This includes a clear list of the micronutrients your genetic makeup specifically requires. All the parameters mentioned above are explained in an easy-to-understand and graphical way using bar charts. You can immediately put the results into practice and adjust your diet and supplementation accordingly.

7 | 💊 Start your individual supplement strategy

For optimal results, combine your genetic analysis (saliva test) with a current assessment of your micronutrient status via a blood test. The genetic test shows you how your body metabolizes micronutrients, while the blood test reveals your current levels of these stores. Ideally, this combination, developed in consultation with a doctor or naturopathic practitioner, results in a personalized supplementation plan that considers your current status and genetic makeup. This lays the foundation for a targeted, needs-based strategy and long-term well-being.

This is how your genes are decoded.

The analysis of MITOcare Diagnostics test kits is performed using a polygenic calculation model – this means that all individual contributions of each genetic variant in conjunction with the environment are taken into account (polygenic effect). The complex algorithm creates an evaluation model based on a multitude of variables, i.e., genetic characteristics. The result of the evaluation model is more important than the number of genes that might be flagged as altered. No genetic variant should be interpreted in isolation – except for vitamins (since multiple genes contribute to multiple vitamins).

The results are presented in an easily understandable and graphical format as a bar chart – making interpretation particularly easy.

Disclaimer

Lifestyle genetics is a branch of genetics that studies the relationship between genes and individual traits that influence a healthy lifestyle. Using information about genetic predisposition to create a nutritional plan should be combined with information about physical characteristics (e.g., age, sex, etc.) and behavioral information (e.g., eating habits, physical activity, etc.).

The results of the genetic test cannot be used for clinical diagnosis, disease prevention, or the assessment of a clinical condition. The result of the genetic test is not dependent on the physical or clinical condition or the therapy management of the tested person.
