MITOcare Diagnostics
Unlock your genetic predisposition for your athletic potential & boost your performance
With the MyFitnessGenes® genetic test from MITOcare Diagnostics, you finally have a tool to help you effectively develop your athletic potential.
With this saliva test, we examine your genetic predisposition in terms of athletic performance, maximum oxygen volume (VO₂max), muscular characteristics, tendency to athletic injuries, recovery capacity after training, micronutrient requirements & caffeine sensitivity.
With the help of a complex algorithm, we evaluate 82 genetic variations of your 70 genes and can thus help you to fully exploit your athletic potential according to the blueprint of your genes.
The results will give you valuable tips on how to adapt your training plan, identify your weak points and adapt your micronutrient requirements to your individual needs. All information is easy to understand and clearly presented in the form of bar charts.
We recommend that you also discuss the results with your personal trainer | naturopath | nutritionist in order to get the best possible optimization for your lifestyle from your test. The expertise of the specialist users can certainly provide you with additional support in dealing with the results.
Decipher the genetic factors for your athletic performance
We analyze the following factors in relation to your athletic potential with the MyFitnessGenes® genetic test and explain them to you in an understandable way:
Power capacity
Ausdauerkapazität
Strength & endurance capacity
Aerobic capacity (VO₂ max)
Muscle building
Vulnerability to injury
Recovery needs
Nutrition based on your genetic predisposition
Nutrition in sports plays a crucial role in athletic performance as it significantly influences metabolic health. The MyFitnessGenes® genetic test analyzes how your genome influences the absorption of nutrients & which individual nutritional needs your genes have:
Magnesium requirement
Iron requirement
Zinc requirement
Selenium requirement
Calcium requirement
Antioxidant requirement
Vitamin B9 & B12 requirements
Caffeine sensitivity
How your DNA is decoded
The MyFitnessGenes® genetic test uses a polygenic calculation model - this means that all individual contributions of each genetic variant in combination with the environment are taken into account (polygenic effect). The complex algorithm creates an evaluation model based on a large number of variables, i.e. genetic characteristics. The outcome of the evaluation model is more important than the number of genes that may be labeled as altered. No genetic variant should be interpreted individually - except the vitamins (as multiple genes contribute to multiple vitamins). The results are presented in bar charts.

Disclaimer
Athletic performance is a concept used by professional and amateur athletes to determine the ability to reach maximum athletic potential. The information on genetic predisposition should be combined with information on physical characteristics (e.g. age, gender, muscle mass index, VO2max) and behavior (e.g. eating habits, physical activity) in order to set up the best individual training plan.
There is no evidence that genetic data can be used to identify sporting talent. Scientific studies provide information on the type of training that is best suited to achieving the set goals. Our diagnostics use the latest information and take the latest research findings into account when interpreting genetic data. However, much is not yet known about genetic profiles and athletic talents.
The results of this genetic test are not dependent on the physical or clinical condition or therapy management of the person tested. The information provided does not confirm or replace any medical diagnosis or condition and cannot be used to prevent disease or diagnose a clinical condition. If you have any questions about the information contained in this report or concerns about your personal health or medical condition, we recommend that you consult a qualified healthcare professional.
