Blood vessels

Healthy blood vessels play a crucial role in heart health. They allow blood to flow smoothly, which is necessary to supply all organs, including the heart, with oxygen and nutrients. Damaged or narrowed vessels can lead to high blood pressure, which puts additional strain on the heart and increases the risk of heart attacks and strokes. Oxygen transport through the blood is particularly important, as cells cannot function optimally without an adequate supply of oxygen, which can lead to impaired organ function and general fatigue. Micronutrients that support blood vessel health include vitamin C, which contributes to collagen synthesis, an important component of blood vessel walls. Magnesium also plays a role by helping to relax blood vessels and regulate blood pressure, which supports an uninterrupted and efficient supply of oxygen throughout the body.
