Why amino acids are essential for your body
Amino acids are often referred to as the "building blocks of life" because they form proteins, which are components of organs, tissues, and cells throughout the human organism. A sufficient amount of amino acids in the body is essential for proper metabolic functions, the development and structure of bones and muscles, and overall well-being. Essential amino acids, which the body cannot produce itself, must be ingested through food or supplements. Compared to protein shakes, pure amino acids offer the advantage of being absorbed directly and do not need to be broken down by the body.
The product Amino Acids Night & Recovery* is a balanced blend of 9 amino acids, taurine and creatine, as well as vitamins, manganese, and zinc. Vitamin C supports cell protection against oxidative stress 1, 2 and healthy collagen formation 3 – even during sleep. Vitamin B6 contributes to healthy protein metabolism 4 and hormonal balance 5. Furthermore, zinc contributes to healthy carbohydrate 6 , fatty acid 7 , and acid-base metabolism 8 as well as normal DNA synthesis 9 .
