Our MITOcare add·on Zinc contains zinc in the three different forms zinc gluconate, zinc picolinate and zinc bisglycinate, complemented by the amino acid glycine. Zinc is essential in the organism and acts as a cofactor in over 200 enzymatic processes. Not without reason, this trace element has the most extensive effects on health according to the EFSA. Through its involvement in DNA and RNA polymerase, zinc plays an essential role in healthy DNA synthesis1. Zinc also supports the immune system2 as well as cognitive function3. This includes abilities such as language, attention, memory, perception, decision-making, learning, etc. Vision4, skin5, hair6 and nails7 as well as female and male fertility8 also benefit from a sufficient zinc intake.
