Gastrointestinal System & Cell Metabolism – An Interconnected System
The gastrointestinal system encompasses much more than just the intestines: it begins in the oral mucosa and extends through the stomach, pancreas, liver & gallbladder into the entire intestinal tract. All these areas work closely together and are continuously involved in taking in, processing & providing nutrients.
At the same time, the tissues involved are particularly active: mucous membranes & cells within this system are constantly renewing themselves. The intestinal mucosa, in particular, has a high renewal rate and is completely regenerated approximately every 3–5 days. This highlights the importance of a continuous supply of suitable building blocks for the body – because the quality of absorbed nutrients is closely linked to the processes of cell renewal & function.
The basis of this constant cell regeneration is DNA synthesis – a process for which nucleotides are required as central building blocks. Nucleotides are components of DNA & RNA and play an important role in cell division as well as in structural & metabolic processes in the body. While they can be produced by the body itself, they are also absorbed through diet. Particularly high amounts are found primarily in foods such as liver, kidney, or meat, while plant sources provide significantly smaller amounts.
In parallel, the daily intake of fiber also plays a central role in a balanced diet. The German Nutrition Society (DGE) recommends about 30g of fiber per day – a value that is often not achieved in everyday life.
Against this background, it can be useful to consciously integrate fiber-rich components into the diet to holistically complement the interplay in the gastrointestinal system.
Flora Total – Fiber, Bitter Substances & Nucleotides Combined in One Formula
Our MITOcare Flora Total combines over 30 high-quality nutrients & plant substances into a holistic complex. At its core is a combination of fiber-rich & partly bitter plant substances such as inulin, acacia fiber, beta-glucan, gluten-free oat bran, as well as artichoke, turmeric & milk thistle seeds. This diversity provides a broad plant-based foundation and supplements the daily diet with 7.95g of fiber per daily dose.
The formulation is rounded off by specifically used micronutrients: Natural vitamin C from acerola can contribute to cell protection⁷ and – together with zinc – to the immune system⁶. Biotin can contribute to the maintenance of normal mucous membranes². In addition, Flora Total provides choline, which can support liver³, fat⁵ & homocysteine metabolism⁴.
Complex in Concept, Precisely Implemented – Quality According to the Causa Logica Principle
The particular strength of Flora Total lies in its deliberately complex formula – precisely this synergistic approach corresponds to the Causa Logica Principle: Instead of isolated single substances, the focus is on the targeted combination of diverse, coordinated ingredients.
Flora Total also sets clear standards in terms of quality: The formula is free of household sugar and is instead flavored with D-Tagatose and real vanilla. A small amount of maltodextrin is included exclusively for the flowability of the nucleotide mixture and thus fulfills a technological function within the formula.
Only high-quality raw materials are used, including gluten-free oat bran. Development is carried out by our in-house nutritionists and is accompanied by regular laboratory analyses to ensure consistently high quality & purity.
The composition is deliberately reduced to the essentials: without unnecessary fillers or excipients – with a focus on a meaningful, synergistic combination of high-quality ingredients.
